Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is the county seat of Broward County, and home to more than 165,000 residents. It is located 23 miles north of Miami on the Atlantic coast. Fort Lauderdale has 165 miles of waterways inside the city limits. With this intricate and extensive canal system it’s often referred to as the “Venice of America”. It has long been known for its beautiful, 7 miles of beaches, fine restaurants and luxury hotels. Las Olas Boulevard is a popular gathering place with its unique restaurants, upscale shops and easy access to downtown. Riverwalk Park is a meandering walkway along the north and south banks of Fort Lauderdale’s New River. Native Americans once brought their ocean catches up the river to trade along these banks.
